How these numbers are produced

We query the Amazon Creators API once per deploy for every product in our catalogue and record what it returns. Figures on this page reflect the observation stamped 2026-10-15T21:15:24+00:00, covering 2,178 products.

"On sale" means Amazon returned an active deal badge for the item. The discount percentage is Amazon's own stated saving against its reference price, not a figure we compute. "Prime Exclusive" is Amazon's access-type flag on that deal.

We store only aggregate statistics: counts, shares and medians across the catalogue. We do not retain prices for individual products. Amazon's licence terms cap storage of product pricing at 24 hours, so per-item price histories are not something this dataset contains or could produce.

Categories follow Amazon's own product grouping. Counts cover canonical product pages; colour and size variants are grouped under their parent rather than counted separately.

Reusing these figures is welcome. A link back to this page is appreciated so readers can check the current numbers.
